Mario Martínez Berdugo is currently the Creative Director at Joystick, an independent agency in Costa Rica that works with FIFCO, the country’s largest brewery. He leads the beer team, developing campaigns and ideas for the most prominent beer brands in Costa Rica.
Mario brings 15 years of experience in advertising, having worked at major agencies such as Jotabequ Grey, Publimark MullenLowe, Garnier BBDO, Madison DDB, and Orson — where he served as Chief Creative Officer for four years, leading the agency to be named Independent Agency of the Year at the 2024 Volcán Festival.
Mario also had the opportunity to be the Digital Director for Red Bull CASA, managing high-profile projects for a world-class brand.
Throughout his career, he has earned several awards, including Effie Costa Rica, Volcán, Wina, among others.
Most recently, Mario was honored to be named one of the 100 most influential creative minds by the Symbol Awards.
