Elliot Strunk is a designer, creative director, and entrepreneur who leads Fifth Letter, a full-service communications studio he founded in 2005. Based in Winston-Salem, NC, Fifth Letter partners with clients across industries—from education and nonprofits to finance, tech, and media—to bring clarity, purpose, and impact to their messaging and design. Elliot brings nearly 30 years of experience to the table, blending strategic thinking with design execution to solve complex problems with simplicity and creativity.
His work has been recognized by AIGA, Communication Arts, GDUSA, Graphis, HOW, and others, and is included in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. A longtime advocate for the design community, Elliot has taught design at the collegiate level, enjoys mentoring young creatives, and co-founded the AIGA Triad NC chapter. He believes great design is about critical thinking, curiosity, and craft—and that thoughtful communication can change outcomes, businesses, and lives.
